Screw Part Number:

CSK-S8GB38SDC3

8g-18 x 38mm, Phillips2 CSK Head with RIBS Screw

The Winged Drill Point (WDP) design eliminates pre-drilling for efficient attachment of thick claddings to steel, while the Drill Point (DP) ensures versatility across various steel gauges. The Flat Countersunk (CSK) head and Wings design provide a polished finish and secure connection, boosting productivity and reducing material damage.

1.Winged Drill Point (WDP) Design: Allows for the efficient fixing of claddings, linings, and floorings thicker than 10mm into steel substrates over 0.95mm thick, eliminating the need for pre-drilling. This saves time and enhances productivity.
2.Drill Point (DP): Facilitates the installation of claddings and linings up to 10mm thick into any gauge of steel, ensuring versatility for various projects.
3.Flat Countersunk (CSK) Head: Features aggressive under-head nips that ensure complete countersinking, providing a flat bearing surface for a polished, high-quality finish.
4.Wings Design:The wings are designed to effectively bore through cladding while drilling, seamlessly snapping off upon contact with steel. This mechanism ensures a stable and secure connection, minimizing the risk of damage to the materials being fixed.
These features combine to enhance efficiency, versatility, and finish quality in construction and installation projects.

1.Pre-Drilling: Ensure that pre-holes are well aligned before driving the screws to maintain accuracy and stability.
2.Tool Selection: Use high-quality screw guns or impact drivers. For optimal performance, the recommended specifications are a minimum of 4 amps and an RPM range of 1500 to 2,500.
Note: When using impact drivers, take care not to overdrive screws during the seating stage, as this can lead to fastener thread or head failure, or strip out the work surface.
3.Proper Seating: The screw head should be fully seated when it is flush with the work surface to ensure a secure connection.
4.Penetration Depth: The fastener should penetrate beyond the metal by a minimum of three thread pitches for a strong and reliable hold.
By adhering to these guidelines, you can ensure effective installation and optimal performance of Screworks fasteners.

1.Suitable for a wide range of cladding and flooring substrates, such as Fibre cement, MGO Board Engineered timbers etc.
2.The drill point has been designed to attach or fix a wide range of cladding options to HGS up to 3mm steel.
